Bridwell Library Special Collections is home to several premier collections related to church history, theology, biblical studies, and art, and serves as a major research institution for North Texas.

The collection holds an array of rare books, unique manuscripts, Bibles, archival documents, and book arts including fine press imprints, artists’ books, livres d’artiste, and miniature books. In addition the collection includes papyri, material culture from antiquity, and over 1100 incunabula. It is also one of the most significant collections of Wesleyana in the United States with a major repository of Wesley letters.
