2024 Paper Chase Legal Writing Competition Winners
Karen Bulnes wins 1st Place in the Fall 2024 Texas Insurance Law Student Writing Competition
Jenny Hulse (3L) wins the 2025 Hartrick Scholar Writing Competition through The Institute for Energy Law. In addition to receiving a monetary prize, Jenny’s paper, Uncrossing the Wires: Building an Equitable and Efficient Process for Transmission Line Siting, will be published in Proceedings of the 76th Annual Institute on Energy Law. Jenny’s paper beat out national and international submissions.
Kristen Adams (2L) is a finalist in the Institute for Energy Law’s 2025 Hartrick Scholar Writing Competition. Her paper, Comparing and Contrasting Various State Laws on Preferential Purchase Rights in Joint Operating Agreements and How They Can Be Circumvented, was one of three finalists in this competition, with national and international submissions.
